In the book for chapter 4, the author described the land on which the giant crossed very vividly. He described the range of hill as "bare" which makes me think there were no trees. In the move the hills were bare too. The author talked about the great blue rocks. I did not see those in the movie. The movie and the books showed the giant moving very quickly across lots of land. He did not mention seeing the giants in this chapter but there were giants in the movie. The movie giant looked very different from the giant in the book.

Dahl writes, "If you can think of anything more terrifying than that happening to you in the middle of the night, then let’s hear about it.". When I was just five years old, I was walking down the street with my mother. A bulldog ran up to me and knocked me down. I didn't know he was trying to be friendly. I cried and cried. My mother picked me up and brushed me off. The dog ran away. I never forgot that incident and I am still terrified of bulldogs.
